Research Activities
Using the innovative proteomic and genomic techniques, the research interest of Chemotherapy Division is aimed at clarifying the molecular and cellular mechanisms of cancer promotion and progression. As a part of the Medical Frontier Project of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan, National Cancer Center launched the Cancer Proteomics Project in 2001. Aimed at discovering targets of molecular therapy and realizing personalized medicine, comprehensive protein and gene expression profiling of cancer cell lines, cancer tissues, and sera/plasma of cancer patients has been undertaken.Research Projects
- Genomic and Proteomic Approaches to Colorectal Carcinogenesis
- Molecular Mechanisms of Cancer Invasion and Metastasis
- Clinical Genomic and Proteomic Approaches to Biomarker Discovery
