Application of aberrant DNA methylation to cancer prevention
Since DNA methylation is deeply involved in carcinogenesis, suppression of de novo aberrant DNA methylation and removal of aberrant DNA methylation already accumulated in non-cancerous tissue are expected to be useful as a method for cancer prevention. We are aiming to prove this concept using animal models.
