Molecular Pathological Analysis for Rat Chemical Carcinogenesis Models
Sequential histopathological analysis in combination with molecular biological techniques of rat chemical carcinogenesis models has been conducted in this laboratory. Inflammation-associated regenerative mucosa with Paneth cell metaplasia observed in early stages of colorectal carcinogenesis was found to possess characteristics of the precursor lesions in rats initiated with 1,2-dimethylhidraszine followed by dextran sodium sulfate treatment. Analyses for early lesions of mammary or thyroid carcinogenesis have also been conducted.
