Systemic Identification of Somatic Mutations in Cancer
Combination of the laser captured micro-dissection and the original DNA amplification method developed in our institute has enabled us to analyze somatic mutations of clinical cancer samples systemically. By performing a large scale re-sequencing of candidate genes in micro-dissected cancer cells, we attempt to establish a catalog of somatic mutations including novel and important cancer-related genes in many cancers.
