Analysis of Neurological Disease-Specific Immune Variations Using the Human Genome Database

In view of the widespread distribution of neurons and immune cells throughout the body, changes in the spatiotemporal interactions of these cells are expected to affect the progression of disease. On the other hand, recent advances in genome analysis technology have enabled the detection of genome-level abnormalities in cancer and various underlying diseases. The laboratory will use human genome analysis information from this laboratory to artificially induce genomic changes in neuronal cells that are responsible for the development of neurological diseases, and attempt to analyze the cross-links between mutant neurons and cancer cells or immune cells.
