BioJapan 2026 Sponsored Seminar Announcement: A New “Tuning Trial” Approach to Accelerate Early Clinical Development

We are pleased to announce that the National Cancer Center Hospital East will host a sponsored seminar at BioJapan 2026 focusing on a new framework for early clinical implementation inspired by Australia’s Clinical Trial Notification (CTN) scheme.

Under the theme, “A New Tuning Trial to Accelerate Early Clinical Development,” the seminar will explore recent advances in early clinical development enabled by Australia’s CTN system and examine how these approaches compare with Japan’s Specified Clinical Trials framework.

The discussion will focus on how startups can generate early proof-of-concept and efficacy signals more rapidly, thereby supporting subsequent fundraising, business development, and strategic partnership opportunities. Participants will also gain insights into practical pathways for accelerating the translation of innovative technologies into clinical applications.

Supported by the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED), the seminar will bring together startups, investors, clinical researchers, and development experts to discuss how early clinical development can serve as a catalyst for medical innovation.
