Division of Cohort Research

In addition to building cohort research infrastructure for general residents, we collaborate with research institutes in Japan and overseas to integrate and share cohort research infrastructure, an important pillar of epidemiological research. Thus, we conduct research to derive solid evidence that will lead to the extension of healthy life expectancy by preventing diseases, including cancer. In the cross-disease cohort research information infrastructure development project using electronic medical information (6 NC joint cohort project), we are engaged in preparing the Recommendations for Extending Healthy Life Expectancy Based on Cross-Disease Evidence, as well as research in which the cohort data within the six national medical centers (6 NCs) are used for analysis.
