Division of Prevention

This division conducts translational research to ensure that scientific evidence is put to practical use in cancer prevention for the Japanese people. We comprehensively evaluate the relationship between cancer factors and cancer in Japanese people based on scientific evidence. When there is a lack of scientific evidence in this process, we organize an integrated analysis of national and international joint research in order to strategically derive such evidence. We also conduct research to verify the effectiveness of new candidates for cancer prevention methods that are yet to be established.
