Division of Surveillance and Policy Evaluation

　With the aim to build the evidence base for cancer control policies, the Division of Surveillance and Policy Evaluation provides quantitative and visual portrait of cancer statistics in Japan and conducts descriptive epidemiology and policy evaluation. Using national and international cancer statistics, geographic information systems (GISs), and other sources of information, we conduct a comprehensive analysis of cancer trends and social disparities as well as evaluation of cancer control measures across different phases of cancer control continuum.
