coronavirus outbreak response update

Responding to the changing situation, the National Cancer Center asks for the kind cooperation of patients and visitors. Updates are marked in red.

New observership visits temporarily suspended
-at least till end September 2020-

New observership visits will be suspended at least until the end of September 2020. Also, we are unable to accept any observership application for a while, as it is not possible to commit to timeframes at this moment in time.

To our patients and planned visitors
at Hospital on Tsukiji campus

 Please wear surgical masks

Applicable to all patients and any accompanying persons, irrespective of whether any related symptoms are observed.

recently surgical masks supplies are extremely limited, there may be occasions when masks are unavailable at our hospital store.

 If any of the following apply, please either phone in to inform us beforehand, or report to our staff at the information counter upon arrival:

  1. fever (37.5C°+), respiratory symptoms (coughs, breathing difficulties)
  2. Any within the past two weeks:
    • Contact with patients infected / suspected with covid-19
    • Travel overseas
    • Contact with those who traveled overseas, with fever and respiratory symptoms

When required, we may ask to take body temperature or ask questions.

No patient visits please

Many of our patients have extremely low immunity, in need of protection, thus the stringent measures.

If and when there is a rise in patients with fever and respiratory symptoms, it will be designated for their care, temporarily restricting use by others.

 Other Visitors

Please defer non-essential visits to our campus for the time being. Should there be an urgent need, please ensure that your body temperature is below 37.5 celsius, wear a surgical mask, and wash or sanitize your hands when entering the premises.
