Inference of cell-cell interactions by colocalization analysis at the single-cell resolution

Capturing cell-cell interactions and their molecular mechanisms is an important challenge in the search for cancer therapeutic targets. We have developed an analytical method to integrate spatially resolved transcriptome observations with single-cell transcriptome observations using deep generative modelling to infer cell-cell colocalization relationships and the molecular mechanisms of interactions. Through the development of a data-driven methodology for inferring cell-cell interactions from spatial omics, we provide a comprehensive view of potential interactions that could be targeted for cancer therapy.
