Molecular pathogenesis and development model of lung cancer

As one of the elucidations of the carcinogenesis mechanism of lung cancer linked to clinical findings, we reported that non-small cell lung cancer with EGFR/ALK abnormalities is refractory to immune checkpoint inhibitors, which can be explained by differences in their underlying carcinogenesis mechanism (Figure 1). In addition, he found differential expression of the p63 gene isoform in NUT translocation carcinomas, which may have a different significance from previous findings on squamous differentiation.
