Cellular Molecular Pharmacology of Analgesics

Various opioid analgesics and adjuvant analgesics have been used for cancer pain and chronic pain. Although these analgesics are categorized by the target molecule of action, in view of the efficacy of clinical therapy, a subclassification of individual drugs by cell molecular pharmacology profiles is required among analgesics in the same category. In our laboratory, we aim to identify cell groups and specific networks controlled by each analgesic, to provide cell-molecular pharmacology profiling of individual drugs, to propose new criteria for the selection of drugs according to the type of pain, and to propose drugs that may be suitable for use in combination.
