We would like to support The FUTURE Project as a driving force in the ATLAS Project
to train young Asian medical professionals.

Dr. Kan Yonemori, Head of the Department of Medical Oncology at the National Cancer Center Hospital, is particularly engaged in the development of drug therapies for breast and urological cancers. He is also dedicated to fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals in the Asia region. We believe The FUTURE Project plays a significant role in advancing cancer treatment development in Asia.

The Atlas Project shall contribute

Challenges in medicine and healthcare are a global issue, particularly when it comes to the application of advanced science. Furthermore, the challenges are different across regions and countries. Additionally, when it comes to pharmaceutical development, or in other words, the number of clinical studies and trials directly related to treatment, the United States and Europe have a larger scale and a higher number of cases compared to Asia. As a result, despite Asia’s larger population and growing economy, its presence in healthcare and medicine remains relatively limited. Therefore, it is crucial to strengthen the system for training young and mid-career professionals—future leaders of Asia—at cancer treatment development centers, while also attracting talented personnel.
Through the Atlas Project, we aim to establish an international platform for conducting clinical research and trials in oncology across Asia, with a particular focus on treatment and the development of new therapeutic methods. Through the Atlas Project, we hope to establish top-tier cancer research and treatment centers as the foundation, improving the quality of research at institutions and across countries. At the same time, we aim to build a research network that enables efficient and high-performance studies on an international scale.

We aim to leverage The FUTURE Project
to develop the next generation of young healthcare professionals who will shape the future.

In the ATLAS Project, we will design and carry out various clinical research and trials, collaborating with researchers, healthcare professionals, and experts from different fields across countries. The main goal of the ATLAS Project is to build a solid foundation that academic institutions and businesses from around the world could use to advance clinical research and trials in oncology across Asia. The budgets for training young professionals is limited. We hope to use The FUTURE Project as a fund to recruit young and mid-career healthcare professionals who will shape the future.
We hope that by promoting the ATLAS Project and supporting “Cancer research of Asia, by Asia, and for Asia,” we can contribute to the future development of healthcare and medicine in the Asia region.
Training the next generation of professionals and focusing on healthcare resources will become increasingly important issues in the future. By promoting support for The FUTURE Project, we hope to establish a sustainable research environment for developing cancer treatments.
